There are three offices of Christ that I will write about in this, and the next two posts: His office of Prophet, His office of Priest, and His office of King. From His throne, under these three offices, in the Millennial Kingdom, He will rule and reign over all things, in the authority of God.
Christ as Prophet
The millennial kingdom is itself the fulfillment of many of the prophecies, therefore, I suppose the things that Christ will speak of and teach will be of how all things in the past have come together and are fulfilled. But He will also speak of eternity and of His ways; hence, there will be no lack of things to teach.
Though there will be many teachers in the millennium, Christ will be the head over them all. He will be like Moses to them, whom everyone will give heed to (Acts 3:22). And there will be no mistaking Him as the Messiah sent from God, for all will clearly see that the Spirit of the Lord rests on Him; and He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, and the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord (Isa. 11:2).
And He will teach His ways of peace, as the word of the Lord from Jerusalem; and many will be eager to sit under His teaching.
Now it will come about that
In the last days,
The mountain of the house of the Lord
Will be established as the chief of the mountains,
And will be raised above the hills;
And all the nations will stream to it.
3 And many peoples will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
That He may teach us concerning His ways,
And that we may walk in His paths.”
For the law will go forth from Zion,
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
4 And He will judge between the nations,
And will render decisions for many peoples;
And they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not lift up sword against nation,
And never again will they learn war.
