Four Reasons Why the Antichrist Will Come From Europe

The Last and Coming World Empire:  Feet of Iron Mixed with Clay

1. Europe will be the revived Roman Empire which has been prophesied (in Dan. 2:33-45) as the last world empire, depicted as the feet of iron mixed with clay, which is not yet fulfilled.  The iron represents the strength of the Old Roman Empire in its revived form, and the clay represents the human weakness of the union of nations. It is clear that the antichrist will rule in this empire for a short time, until the God of heaven sets up His kingdom and destroys all the earthly kingdoms (Dan. 2:44-45).

2. The Vatican, which is based in Rome (part of Europe), is now in the process of forming a new world religion.  They are telling people that they don’t have to believe in Jesus, just do good and except each other. They are especially welcoming of all immigrants to come and be like them.  It sounds like the Catholic Church is now being used by Satan to form the false religious system known in the bible as The Great Harlot.  This harlot is pictured as riding the beast, which is the antichrist.

3. Europe has kicked God out and has invited Satan in. Evil groups such as the Illuminati and the Free Masons began in Europe (in the 1700s).  These groups have wanted to destroy the evangelical church and to have Satan worshipped instead.  Illuminati means enlightened ones—which they would say is the light from Lucifer. All over Europe now people are worshipping Satan, which is evident by their liberal lifestyle, their extreme anti-Israel stance, and their global agenda. Most people in Europe at present, I think, would welcome the antichrist.

4. The result of the coming war of Gog and Magog will conveniently allow a European leader to offer peace with Israel.  The bible says (in Ezek. 38 and 39) that Israel will be invaded by Russia, Turkey and other Muslim countries.  The result of that invasion will be that those invading countries will be mostly destroy.  This may be the time that a leader from Europe will offer peace with Israel.  Israel has always been welcoming of western leaders, and so they will gladly accept the treaty.  This 7-year covenant will of course be made (or forced upon) Israel by the antichrist and will mark the beginning of the 7-year tribulation (Dan. 9:27).

Good points, Stephen — the last time I checked the Roman Empire’s capital was (unsurprisingly) located in Rome. Even when the Roman Empire was primarily based in Byzantium (a/k/a Constantinople), that’s still part of Europe. Daniel chapter 2 is the key, prophetically, so the empires that conquered Israel were, respectively, Babylon (Au), Medo-Persia (Ag), Greece (Cu), and then Rome (Fe) — so the iron-mixed-with-ceramic-clay (Fe/Si) must be a revived Roman Empire, unless I’m really missing something important in Daniel chapter 2’s eschatology.

Interesting deductions, however the great Harlot is undoubtedly the U.S. Hollywood is world’s greatest prop, and the US, is the playground for the rich. And has the most influence of any nation worldwide.
